Every year, my husband’s workplace hosts a giant staff Christmas banquet, but this year, due to the pandemic, they decided to cancel the banquet. Instead, they provided us tickets to our local Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach.
We ventured out a few days after Christmas and the day couldn’t be any more perfect. My girls were SO excited to go on a new adventure since we’ve been mostly locked up at home since March. I have to give big kudos to the Gulfarium for ensuring safety for all of the guests. The park is operating at 50% occupancy, masks are enforced where you can’t social distance, and everyone is respectful of boundaries. Not to mention most of the park is outdoors which is awesome.
And check out this view!!!

To beat the crowds, we opted to get there within the first hour of the park’s opening. And we arrived just in time for the dolphin show which was a ton of fun and very educational.
Afterwards, we opted to walk around and check out all of the animals and sea life. We saw sharks, stingrays, tortoises, birds, and more.

The Gulfarium has a nice little boardwalk that wraps around the side of the park and overlooks the beach. We stopped along the way to take a few family pictures since it was also such a beautiful day!
The Gulfarium is such a great place to visit with young kids. My girls who are 3 & 5 were entertained for a good 2.5 hours. Towards the end of our tour, my 3 year old started getting a little antsy, so we took it as a sign to get going. And as you can see, they were tuckered out from all of the fun. 🙂
