A few weeks ago, I posted a list of books adapted into Hallmark Christmas movies in 2018, and so many reached out and asked about the non-Christmas book adaptions.

Challenge Accepted.

There were only seven book adaptions that I found. Feel free to let me know if I’m missing one from this list! While I haven’t read any of these, there are a few I’m very interested in reading.

  1. This is a good list, Kaycee! While I’ve seen all of these movies, I’m currently reading only one of these books. Right now, I’m about half-way through The Beach House and I honestly think it’s just ok. The biggest flaw of this book, in my opinion, is how unnecessarily long it is. I don’t think this particular story needs to be 400+ pages. Because of this, the book is written in such a way that it feels drawn out to the point of making the chapters and even the book itself feel longer than it might have been intended. The more I read and think about the book, the more I like the movie over the book.

Speaking of Hallmark Hall of Fame, I was disappointed that an upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame movie wasn’t announced at this year’s Winter TCA Event. Since a new movie wasn’t advertised during the end-credit commercial after Christmas Everlasting, I was hoping the next movie would be revealed at Hallmark’s event. Now, I starting to wonder if Hallmark is going to have a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie outside of the Christmas line-up at all.
